*Durban is hot/warm all year round. The other major South African centres are Johannesburg (colder in winter) and Cape Town (wet and cold in winter). These references are to the Southern Hemisphere winter (May - October). The same applies in many US centres, in reverse (Northern hemisphere winter = November - April).
